President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service as part of efforts to strengthen leadership and improve service delivery across government institutions.
The announcement was made in a press release issued by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, stating that the appointments were made to fill existing vacancies in the service.
This was contained in a statement on Friday, 6th February, 2026, by Eno Olotu, Director, Information and Public Relations to the Ministry.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Warrens Bekearedebo Augusta from Bayelsa State, Jones-Nebo Nkiruka Bella from Enugu State, Aminu Sani Yargaya from Kano State, and Shoretire Ayinda Kamil from Ogun State.
According to the statement, the appointments followed a rigorous and transparent selection process in line with the administration’s commitment to merit, professionalism and excellence in the civil service.
The new appointees are expected to bring extensive experience and expertise to their roles, which the government believes will strengthen public service delivery and support its broader development agenda.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson‑Jack, congratulated the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and commended President Tinubu for what she described as his strong commitment to transparency, meritocracy and professionalism in the civil service.
She noted that the appointments reflect the administration’s determination to build a competent, efficient and results-driven public service capable of meeting the needs of Nigerians.
