The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Education has expressed immense pride and admiration for 17-year-old Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a student from Yobe State, who has emerged as the World’s Best in English Language Skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.
Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa outshone over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations.
In a statement by Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations to the Ministry, on Wednesday 6th August, the Ministry described her victory as a personal milestone and a resounding affirmation of the Renewed Hope Agenda for Education championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Ministry commended Nafisa for her brilliance, determination, and discipline, stating that her achievement brings pride to the nation and underscores the effectiveness of the education-focused components of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
It also extended appreciation to the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for his investment in instructional materials and education reform, which has created an enabling environment for students like Nafisa to thrive.
The Ministry noted that Nafisa’s success reflects the kind of youth they are determined to raise – globally competitive, intellectually empowered, and rooted in national pride.
It reaffirmed its commitment to investing in instructional materials, teacher training, and student development to ensure that Nigerian children receive education that meets international standards.
