The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday presented the Certificate of Return to Senator-elect, Joseph Ikpea (APC), having won the Saturday’s by-election for the Edo Central Senatorial District.
Also presented with the Certificate of Return, is the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial District seat, Emmanuel Nwachukwu (APGA).
Other lawmakers-elect who received their Certificates are Igbenedion Omosede Gabriella, (APC), Ovia North East/Ovia Southwest; Mukhtar Rabiu Garki (APC), Babura/Garki; Joseph Fidelix Bagudu (APC), Chikun/Kajiru; Elegbeji Adesola Ayoola (APC), Ikene/Shagamu/Remo North and Oyekunle Fola Sunday (PDP), Ibadan North.
Spark News Naija reports that in line with the Electoral Act, the National Commissioner overseeing each relevant geopolitical zone presented the Certificates of Return to seven candidates who emerged victorious in the elections.
