A birthday tribute from popular Nigerian actor Jim Iyke to actress Kate Henshaw has revealed the former’s deep feeling for the latter during their early days in the movie industry.
In an emotional Instagram post on Sunday, the rugged actor expressed his deep admiration and past romantic feelings for Henshaw.
Iyke recalled how Henshaw was of great assistance to him during his struggling days, giving him money for food and transport, and sharing audition tips yet always treated him like a younger brother, even though he had romantic feelings for her.
He wrote bluntly in his emotional post, laced with profanity and nostalgia, “You knew all that time I wanted to hit that”.
He said by the time he and Kate could shared an intimate moment, he had become “too wild and restless” to nurture anything meaningful.
The actor humorously blamed Kate for setting an unattainable beauty standard in the industry, stating that young women now “do too much” trying to replicate her looks.
