A Nigerian-American woman has gone public with a harrowing account of her experience during a visit to Nigeria for her traditional wedding.
She alleges that her ex-husband’s family put her life at risk by providing her with a faulty vehicle that could have caused her harm.
According to her viral video testimony, despite the family’s wealth and ownership of car dealerships, they refused to provide her with a proper car for movement. Eventually, she was given a 2010 Toyota RAV4 that she felt was “off” from the start. The vehicle broke down on a highway while she was en route to a radio interview, and a mechanic’s inspection revealed alarming issues.
The mechanic reportedly found that the brakes had no fluid, possibly due to tampering, the gas tank had a hole, and the coolant system was dry. These issues led to concerns that the car could have exploded if driven further. The woman’s attempts to reach her husband and his parents were allegedly met with silence.
In response to the allegations, the family claimed they had only checked if the car turned on, an explanation the woman finds suspicious given their background in the auto industry. The incident has raised serious concerns about the woman’s safety and the family’s intentions.
