Eid al-Adha: NHRC urges spiritual renewal, unity

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), has congratulated the Muslim brothers and sisters all over the world, on the occasion of the Eid-Al-Adha, also known as the Eid-Kabir celebrations.

According to the Commission, this season is a time of spiritual renewal and unity, and should be extended with the spirit of love.

The Eid al-Adha message was contained in a statement by the Director Corporate Affairs and External Linkages, Fatimah Agwai Mohammed, on Thursday in Abuja.

NHRC further tasked the Muslim faithfuls to reflect deeply on the values of sacrifice, faith, obedience, and compassion that define this festival.

The statement read in part, “Let us draw inspiration from the noble sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and embrace the spirit of giving, tolerance, and community service. As partners in truth, development, and positive storytelling, your support has been the strength behind our mission.

“May Allah accept our acts of worship, bless our homes with joy, and guide us towards greater heights”.
