Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) has rejected the sum of N30 million, being donation to him by the Executive Governor of Kebbi State to assist in charity work by his Ministry.
According to Capital Post, the popular clergy instead, advised the State Government to direct the fund to orphanages and other charitable causes, while thanking the governor for the gesture.
The donation was made during a well turnout outdoor evangelical crusade recently held by the branch of Dunamis International Church in Birnin Kebbi in North Western Nigeria.
The donation was publicly announced on behalf of governor Idris by his representative as a show of appreciation.
The governor’s representative, the Commissioner for Social Duties in Kebbi State, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, stated that the donation was available in cash and ready to be handed over to the church.
In a rude shock, Pastor Enenche, politely declined the offer on stage and acknowledged the generosity of the governor.
“We sincerely appreciate the gesture and the governor’s generous heart.
“But we will not take this money. Please channel it instead to orphanages or any other charitable institution of your choice,” Enenche said.
The governor’s representative thanked Pastor Enenche for his humility and commitment to the gospel, accepting the pastor’s request with grace.
