Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel International, has said the followers of Jesus Christ must at all times esteemed the word of God in obedience.
Speaking recently at a church service in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, Bishop Oyedepo counseled that true Christians don’t disobey the truth (God’s word).
According to him, they don’t disregard, despise or deny the truth.
“They do not disallow the truth in their decisions, rather they abide, live, dwell in the truth. They embrace the truth. They spread the truth. They hold forth the truth. They Defend the Truth. They obey the truth”, he said.
Papa, as he is fondly called by his followers, said If we desire to see the king in His beauty, we must always obey His word.
He said if disobedience were to be allowed in heaven, then heaven would have been as corrupt as the earth, referencing Revelations 22:14, “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city”.
