…Advises the President to abandon his 2027 presidential ambition for a competent leader

A Civil Society Organisation (CSO), Eastern Union (EU), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to address the concerns of Nigerians, adding that the country is on the brink of collapse.
The National President of the Group, Hon. Charles C. Anike made the call in a press release, made available to Journalists in Abuja.
The press release read: “EU is calling on the operators of Nigerian APC led government to make a hay while the sun shines. This call will resonate among various calls and advises that came to the Tinubu led government in response to so many verifiable and unverified rumours that now beclouds this government.
“The threatening rumours are coming in quick succession and are calling for the concerns of well meaning citizens of Nigeria to act fast.
“In the recent times, no each day passes without one form of threatening news or the other, pointing to the fact that this government has failed but just existing on pretense and hopelessness.
“The very foundations of our nation, Nigeria has been shaken and threatened by the oppression and satanic activities of the political bandits across the Country.
“While the Country is bleeding profusely and families are painfully mourning for their losses, the people in government are busy perfecting dangerous plans to remain in power even without the people’s mandate, believing that it will be business as usual.
“The killings of innocent Nigerians across the country has continued unabated, and the Tinubu government has shown less interest or shown genuine seriousness and commitment in finding solutions, rather the Country is busy creating opportunities for the escape and for the release of convicted criminals.
“Recently there is also the rumours of a very doubtful rumours of coup de tat involving some high profile military officers. Initially the military authorities denied any such attempt, but later a lot within the ranks are pointing to the reality.
“This situation is very worrisome, considering our hard earned democracy almost thrown to the gallows, due insincerity, lack of conscience and lack of compassion in the running of the Country by the APC administrations since 2015.
Hon. Anike lamented that since inception of the APC leadership of the Country, the party has shown incompetence and lack of capacity to govern.
“Well, whether there was attempted coup or not there are serious warnings everywhere, calling on Tinubu and his cohorts to make hay while the sun shines, and for the government to start retracing it’s steps to face the realities on ground.
“Tinubu should nolonger pretend over the genuine concerns been expressed across the country by reasonable voices. If they continue to ignore and believe that nothing will happen, they will be shocked that what is currently happening at Tanzania will be a child’s play to what will soon happen in Nigeria.
“The continued suppression of oppositions has proven to be unprofitable venture and the way forward if the government would attempt to be sincere at this point.
“The most recent ever vital remark coming from the American President, Donald Trump should not be taken for granted or be treated as business as usual by the APC government, to avoid the long predicted and expected calamities.
“The Tinubu government must realize that the curses from suffering lips of Nigerians resulting from the pains they are passing through, under the APC governments; those curses is capable of bringing down the government.
“We sincerely recommend a tactical withdrawal of APC And President Tinubu in particular from the 2027 contests.
“To adhere to this advise is to avert future calamities and tragedies on the country. President Tinubu will truly be a hero if he takes a bold step and borrow courage from Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan who disappointed the sycophants that surrounded him and conceded defeat in 2015.
“President Tinubu, after all, should be grateful to God for fulfilling his Emilakan ambition. At this moment, Nigeria deserves some level of peace and progress, therefore, to avert the dangers ahead, which may not spare anyone, Tinubu and his cohorts should apply wisdom to gradually and quietly be finding the exit door out of the Villa come 2027.
“It is obvious he can’t profer solutions or fix the country. The continued rewarding of political bandits and cronies with juicy appointments will not change anything.
