The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the schedule of activities for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, set to take place simultaneously across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to a press statement issued by the scheme’s management, the 21-day orientation exercise will begin with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Registration is expected to close at midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The swearing-in ceremony for the corps members will also be held on Friday, April 24, marking the formal commencement of the orientation programme nationwide.
The NYSC disclosed that the orientation course will run until Tuesday, May 12, 2026, when participants are expected to complete the exercise.
While wishing all mobilised graduates safe journeys to their respective orientation camps, the management reiterated its warning against night travel.
It advised prospective corps members to break their journeys by 6:00 p.m. and seek accommodation at designated safe locations such as corps lodges, military formations, police stations, or traditional rulers’ palaces before continuing their trips the following day.
