The President of the Binani Group, Aminatu Dahiru Chiroma, has declared that the newly launched Binani Air is poised to redefine standards in Nigeria’s aviation industry following its inaugural commercial flight operations.
Speaking during the inaugural flight ceremony, Chiroma said the airline was established to set a new pace in aviation through quality service delivery, operational consistency, and passenger satisfaction.
The launch marks a historic milestone in Nigeria’s aviation sector as Binani Air is regarded as the first airline owned by a Northern Nigerian woman, making its entry into the industry a symbolic breakthrough for women in business and aviation leadership.
“Insha-Allah, this is the day we have all been waiting for and I am glad it is finally here,” she said during the ceremony.
According to her, despite the highly competitive nature of the aviation industry, the airline is fully prepared to compete favourably and provide world-class services to Nigerians.
“We are ready and set to show Nigerians what it means to have the best,” Chiroma stated.
She noted that early feedback from passengers regarding the airline’s hospitality and onboard services already reflects the standard the company intends to sustain.
Chiroma described the positive reactions from passengers during the inaugural operations as “a foretaste of what Nigerians should expect from Binani Air.”
The airline commenced its first commercial operations with flights from Abuja to Kano and onward to Yola, attracting attention from aviation stakeholders and passengers who described the development as a significant boost to Nigeria’s growing aviation sector.
Industry observers say the entry of Binani Air into the domestic market could further improve competition, expand travel options for passengers, and encourage greater private sector participation in Nigeria’s aviation industry.
